About the London Rockin\' Rollers
Formed in March 2007, the London Rockin\' Rollers\' were the third roller derby league in the UK - today there are almost a hundred leagues in the UK and Ireland alone! Guts, grit and determination have seen the league partake in the UK\'s first Interleague scrimmage with the Birmingham Blitz Dames on 1st July 2007, then go on to be invited to play Europe\'s First Interleague bout against Stuttgart Valley Roller Girlz on 14th October. This was shortly followed by the UK\'s First Interleague Bout on 27th October, again vs. the Blitz Dames. 2009 saw the league present their well earned first home bouting season at the historic York Hall while 2010 panned out to be even more action packed as the popularity of roller derby exploded, our B team was formed and the London Rockin\' Rollers\' Intraleague teams battled it out with each other for the first time. In 2011, three intrepid London Rockin\' Rollers and our head ref crossed the Atlantic and entered the world stage by taking part in the first ever Roller Derby World Cup. 2012 saw us begin our now annual London Rockin\' Rollers Bootcamp and host a mighty all-in-one Intraleague championship and 2013 saw us take on new opponents in our bouts against teams from Europe as well as become full members of the Women\'s Flat Track Derby Association. 2014 saw our A team captain drafted into the Team England squad, a host of our skaters representing the West Indies, Italy and Greece plus a range of exciting home and away bouts.
